Experience
I have spent time working in various medical specialties such as Renal medicine, Rheumatology, Endocrinology and Intensive Care as well as dealing with the most complex of pregnancies and Gynaecological problems
Specialist
To care for such patients to the highest standards, I pursued additional qualifications completing a further 3 years of formal training to become a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist of whom there are only a few in Australia.
Seniority
My additional experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine allows me to care for the complicated as well as more straightforward pregnancies to the highest standards. I am appointed as a senior clinician at Monash Medical Centre, boasting one of the leading departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Australia
My Approach & Philosophy
I graduated in medicine at the University of Melbourne in 2002, following which I completed my internship through the Austin and Repatriation Centre and the Northern Hospitals. Prior to starting in Obstetrics and Gynaecology I broadened and consolidated my knowledge with practical experience in a number of medical specialties such as Internal medicine, General and Specialist Surgery, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Renal Medicine, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Radiology and Emergency Medicine.
Two years as the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow dealing with the most complex of pregnancies and Gynaecological problems
I worked through a number of major metropolitan and regional centers as well as in New Zealand obtaining a vast range of experience and skills. I then completed the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women through the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which cemented my passion for women’s health, and particularly Obstetrics. My 6-year formal training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology occurred at Monash Medical Centre, Box Hill and the Angliss Hospitals and in regional centers such as Ballarat. The last two years of this were spent at Monash Medical Centre working as the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow dealing with the most complex of pregnancies and Gynaecological problems.
